Bought the car not running, all fuses look good inside the car and under the hood except the a/c fuse, replaced it. Tried to replace the crankshaft position sensor still no spark. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Most obvious thing is timing belt, take off the distributor cap and see if the rotor turns as you crank it.

If there's an oil pan gasket on there, the crankshaft sensor can't see the crankshaft, gotta get rid of the gasket.

As mwebb said, do you have spark? Do you have fuel being sprayed into the throttle body?

if belt checks out ok, and you have voltage to a good coil (just one coil...you have the 3 cylinder)
unplug the crank shaft position sensor. if it runs with a cel....then the problem is oil pan gasket or ckp sensor. if not, then plug back in and check the cam shaft position sensor (pick up coil) inside the distributor. the electrical connector is identical to the reverse gear switch inside the tranny....and they are right next to each other.
is the center plug wire connected? ...been there done that.

The rotor is turning, a small amount of oil leaked out into the distributor cap, just an fyi. Black and white wire has 12 volts the brown and white wire has no power to the coil. There is no oil pan gasket, only rtv. There is no fuel going into the throttle body.

The check engine light is not on and I am not sure what a cel is.

Do you hear the fuel pump start when you turn the key on?
CEL = Check Engine Light

Usually the fuel pump makes a very slight whirring sound when you turn the key over (not all the way but to the point where the lights on the dash come on). Try turning the ignition key over a few times. If you hear nothing, then no fuel is being sent to your engine.

Happened to me once. Car just stopped while driving home. CEL would not light when the key was turned forward. Found the problem by turning the key forward then unbolting the fuse box under the hood. Started gently tugging, turning, jiggling the wires and finally heard the relay click on. Replaced all fuses under the hood and checked their connections. It's been good ever since.

This is assuming the CEL does not light AT ALL when the key is turned forward.

The bulb may be burned out also.

You will have to pull the cluster and replace it if that's the case.

Didn't think of the buld being burned out. So what would cause the fuel pump and the ign coil both to not get power ? Seems like something ahead of both of them in the power flow
