Mr Mojo Risin'

My hood is just slightly misaligned...just a bit. The hinges match up just fine but for some reason the hood just wont sit flush or even slightly straight. I must have done some real nice damage when I hit that telephone pole a few years ago :hmm This really bothers me because I drive it like this and it looks like shit (its secured from underneath with chains!)

I wouldn't have even noticed it if you didn't mention it.

Just reposition the base of the hinges.--easy fix.

Your hood does not fit becuz the front of your car has been moved to the pass side in the wreck. I'm betting your steering wheel is prolly off center when going straight on level ground?
Door to fender gap tight on the right / wide on the left?
Under the hood, measure the distance between your front fender bolt on the left to the rear fender bolt on the right, then measure the distance from your front fender bolt on the right to your left fender bolt on the rear.
They should be the same, but from the pic I'm guessing measurement #2 will be longer.
Get under the car, and do the same l vs r measurements using whatever symetrical bolts or holes you can find to confirm the diagnosis.

Why bother. He hit a telephone pole. He knows its way over to one side. Screw up the hinge base enough to match the screwed up front end and :nfs

Just my$.02...Most likely the hinges have been pushed out off alignment and sprung out of shape...Find some replacement hinges and then realign them... :type

Side sway is the easiest unibody misalignment to fix. If the car is properly tied down, you could pull the front end back over with a sturdy come-a-long.
