Instrument Cluster Failure

Have this repaired just sharing what I went through. Speedometer stopped working. Got new cable, installed and this fixed speedo. With speedo repaired all the warning lights, fuel and temp guages were not working. Must have disturbed something back there while plugging in the new cable ? Pulled the cluster to find the positive connection for the fuel guage burned away about 1/8" of the ribbon in the printed circuit board. Carefully laid a bead of solder to reconnect that gap. This fixed the cluster and it all works normally again. Installing the new speedo cable wasn't gravy due to that grommet through the firewall. Was only $26 at Partsgeek to my door. Pulling the cluster was easier than I expected with the steering column dropped. Hoping someone else who might encounter this same issue reads this and it helps them fix it ?
