In ohio as well, why it so important to upgrade the cup holders, such a mess that coffee did ![]() this happened to a civic when we lived in TX, got up to the airbags, progressive didn't cover it even with full coverage as it was an "act of God" and I didn't have that on my policy ($3 more a month and never even offered....) |

That's why car insurance is such a scam and should be illegal. There's better ways of handling vehicle damage. But that's my opinion. Seems like you got yourself in some deep waters... ;( |

Yikes! That looks bad! I haven't done it on an automotive application but have used a technique on other electronic items that may be of use here. Load up a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol, disconnect the battery and then go around spraying every possible connection point you can get to - the alcohol will displace the water and then evaporate, give it a day or two to dry and see what you've got. Good Luck! |

Take out the seats and carpet and wash them at the carwash. Let them dry for a couple of days and put them back in. Ken........ |

so i took out 95% of the interior. cleaning it and putting it back in. the water made some of the little rust that was there worse. i busted out the sander and got to work. laid down some fresh paint. when i put everything back in im making it all black. i had to tear out the insulation from the bottom of the carpet, but found some foam that will probably be better and cut it to size. ill get some more pics up tomorrow. any thoughts on painting the dash without removing it? has anyone done that? i mean its pretty much the only thing left in the entire car....![]() ![]() ![]() oh yeah, im getting better mileage with the weight reduction...for now

That SUCKS! Here is some help from a couple of my threads: Link--->How to Wash Seat Covers; You're not fully clean, unless... Link--->Viewing Post #92 From: The Story of Rudolph You can see my dash removal in the rest of my Rudolph thread. I would not hesitate to pull that dash. It is SUPER easy. Two bolts on the left side door frame Two bolts on the right side door frame Two bolts at the bottom center One screw under the square in the center Steering wheel off and drop the column Disconnect the speedometer cable at the back of the speedometer. (you can reach up from the bottom.) Any disconnect any electrical connector you can get you hands on. First time, about two hours, after that 20 min MAX to pull the dash. Good luck! |

any thoughts on painting the dash without removing it? has anyone done that? i mean its pretty much the only thing left in the entire car.... Metro Mighty Mouse did it, you can ask him about it, but I would think it better to pull the dash. There are a couple How To's on it. Then you can clean all the ducting also. Also, no after market carpet kits for the 95-01's so your cleaning it and new padding is the ticket! Cheers Edited by brsja, May 25 2014, 08:17 PM.

i got the foam cut and placed. its only going to cover about 90% of the area that the old did. it should work better, and it is alot more comfy. 15 bucks wasnt bad for the roll. got all the important areas covered.![]()
