I ordered a single DIN stereo unit and I have a factory radio cage. What do I need in order to have a clean look with a pocket like in the picture above?

I think something like this would work but $25 is a lot for a plastic piece of crap: slide out radio pocket

Please help the audio challenged like myself :banghead

You need an OEM stereo pocket. I've got one (or two or three...)

Some kits come with a pocket. You may need to browse the audio section of advance auto. I seem to find a geo related single din there every time I visit.

How do you like your pocket?

I was hoping it would be something I could put something into and it would hopefully slope forward so that it would not fall out.

Not for a 92-94, they don't. Kits with pocket are for 95+. 92-94 kits have a blank plate area under the stereo.

It's good. I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I chuck my phone in there to charge, that's about it. They have a little lip at the front, to try and keep stuff inside, but it's not tilted, it's more or less level, and some stuff will still fall out. (Not my phone, though - it's got an Otterbox [Defender] and those things GRIP.)

Any idea where I can find one these pockets?

Or should I just spring on that $25 drawer that I linked in the original post?

When I said I had several, I meant that I would sell you one if you wanted it.
:lol
I suppose I should have been more clear.

If you like the drawer, check this:

Same thing, but for $12.34 shipped.
Give me a few and I might find it even cheaper; but that might be the cheapest.

Oh I didn't realize they were for sale. How much would you want for one shipped here to Cleveland, OH?

I saw those cheaper drawers, but they ship from China which means the estimated deliver date is Wed. Jun. 11 to Wed. Jul. 16 which is not cool. I always buy only from the US when I'm on Ebay. Otherwise, the project is over by the time the stuff arrives. lol.

:dunno
Ten bucks plus whatever the shipping is?

And you make an excellent point about shipping from China. I hadn't thought of that.

I've got the same year car as you, this is what I used. Works great and only 10 bucks. Just make sure you have an L-bracket that you can put on the back of the stereo unit to brace it, otherwise it'll be all wobbly.
