Hi All, Currently trying to remove the front bumper cover on my 1992 vert. There seem to be 4 clips holding the headlight in place. I was able to remove 2 simply by turning the screw however these last 2 seem to have no way to turn them. Are they "ball joint" style clips that I just need to pull on to knock them out of their socket? I'm afraid to do so as I would hate to ruin the headlight mounts. Help!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Just my $.02...to properly remove the headlamps from the body you have to remove the 3 10mm nuts holding the mount on...one behind the front fenders...you have to remove the inner fender splash pans... |

I'm looking everywhere to see the 10 MM bolts you are speaking of but all I can see is the mount on rivets? Am I missing something? I can take pics of the area if that helps so you can point out where these 10 MM bolts are? ![]()

As geogonfa said you have to take out the inner fender so you can get at two of the nuts. They are 10 mm and there is one on the inside of the radiator support as well. After you get those nuts off you can pull it out a little and you should see where there is one plastic bracket that you can pry out of a square hole to get everything loose. If I remember right that bracket is below the single stud that you take the third nut off of. Also there is a nut on the end of the upper bumper cover that is under the fender too. Ken........... Wow that is crazy. Can't believe they made it this difficult to remove the headlight assembly. I will try to get at them thanks for the help guys. I'll add pics once I find them to help the next poor sucker who tries to figure this out lol. |

Actually its really simple! You dont have to remove the fenders just inner fender guard and some extensions and you are good to go! |
