I was just wondering if it is possible to put a 2001 metro style headlight onto a 1991 metro. My wife has a 2001 and I like the headlights a lot and im in the process of getting a 1991 and when I get it I want to change the headlights. I will admit the square style on the '91 are a little ugly, so can it be done with little fab work or is it a direct swap? |

Those would look good on it, thanks. What kind of wiring would need to change. Is it the pigtails for that style of bulbs? I don't know much about wiring, I know more mechanicals. |

If you get that one from ebay your going to need the mounting brackets and the bulb pigtails as well...try to locate a LSi Metro 89-94 and they will fit...

Those are great lights. My swift came with those. Should not be difficult to adapt.![]() This is what it would look like on a GEO.

There are two different headlights, the ones are posted above are different. Swift headlights in my perceptive are nicer but you need a new hood and new upper bumper lid. When I did my swap i got all my parts from a donor car at the junkyard, I cut the pigtails and I just re wired the harness from the old one, there might be adapters out there but oh well. Best option it to keep and eye at the junkyard for a donor car or teamswift, they part out cars sometimes and you can make and offer on the whole assembly. |
