I work a lot of nights which means that on my time off I have to stay up all night. I'm always looking for some good movies and figured some of you guys would to. If this thread stays alive I'll post some short and sweet reviews here as I watch. Maybe others can join in too.

Some movies/TV I recently watched:

Mud - It was OK
Titanic - It was OK (yes, finally watched it)
True Detective - Pretty good
Seeking a friend for the end of the world - Pretty good
Safety Not Guaranteed - Pretty good
Side Effects - Pretty good
Jack Reacher - Pretty good
Ride Along - Don't waste your time
Last Vegas - Horrible
Stand up guys - Horrible

Better then expected yes, Still lots of false advertising with Mr Heisenberg and plot leaves much to be desired. Movie would have done so better with faster pacing and more Monster Fights. Another things that killed it for me was that Godzilla is the good guy now..... :smackface Godzilla Needs to be a name that sends shivers down your spine not a superhero! :x

Overall Main actors acting was 7/10
Special Effects where 9/10
Plot was a 6/10
Character development was 6/10

Its a good movie to watch on netflix in a year or so.

Overall Score 7/10

Will finish watching the first season of Twin Peaks tonight (yeah, I am 24 years behind). I've never seen it and could stop watching at any time because it really isn't that good. Maybe I'll just move on to something else.

Watched the pilot episode of 21 Jump Street earlier today. Was going to watch the entire series but for the life of me I don't know what I saw in it 27 years ago. Even my wife won't watch it with me and she loves Johnny Depp.

Star Trek: Into Darkness - pretty good

I hear Trekkies hate the re-boot Star Trek movies, but I liked both of them.

I wouldn't consider myself a Trekkie (I don't speak Kingon) but had seen every episode about a hundred times in my youth. I have only seen the first new movie but seem to remember that I enjoyed it.

If you enjoyed the first, you will enjoy the second.

I enjoyed watching the 2nd movie but after everything processed it really seemed to have pandered too much or tried too hard. The death scene seemed forced into the movie, the result was predictable and it only would have worked (for me) if they had established a theme within the movie that no matter how much things change, they stay the same.

I own the first, not even interested in seeing the 2nd again.

Ted - Funny the first time. Annoying the second. Overall, okay.
