Amistad was pretty good. Very sad whenever they started throwing folks over the side of the ship. How can folks be so cruel? Dang, hope God can make things right in the afterlife. |

This is a little bit different (a TV series not a movie). I re-watched Hollywood Treasure Season 1 and 2 this weekend. If you guys have never seen them you might give it a shot (they only did 1.5 seasons). Watch this to see a poster worth $3,000,000. You can see Joe is a little upset to not get it consigned. I could understand because Profiles in History charges a 23% commission (yep, that would be a $690,000 commission just on that one sale). Edited by rmcelwee, Sep 15 2014, 01:30 AM.

Yeah, its too bad when people loose a 3/4 million dollar commission - its just like my life Oh yeah, I second the vote for Amistad. Gut wrenching but a worthwhile movie. And I will have to try the other Brad Pitt slave movie. I have consistently had low expectations for him and then he puts out a really great movie Edited by me2, Sep 15 2014, 01:40 AM.

As far as acting, Pitt isn't in the movie for more than a few minutes. I read he did it just to get funding for the movie (he draws investors by being in it). |

Pitt was a producer. I'm betting he did not get paid for acting in the movie. |

After Earth - This was painful to watch. I just kept looking at the clock and telling myself it would be over soon... |

The best movie review I ever read was a 3-word review for "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter". The reviewer wrote simply "I hope so!" |

I watched Braveheart this morning in honor of the vote today. It was as good today as it was almost 20 years ago: |
