Red Dawn: Very unbelievable, but entertaining.

SPOILER (VERY LIGHT SPOILER)

Josh Hutch...Peeta carries a SAW, one handed at one point, and even runs and guns with it! PFFT.
That kid from Nickelodeon is just a terrible actor... There is a reason why its release was pushed back in order to use the fame of Hemsworth to try and get more views.

Watched Pacific Rim last weekend. It was good. I kept waiting for Jax to jump on some futuristic Harley.

"Chicks dig me and guys think I'm cool."

Saw The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington two weekends ago.

He plays a humble man named Robert McCall who lives alone and has the odd habit of counting how long it takes him to do certain tasks. He's always referring to his digital wristwatch and tries to improve upon the time it takes to complete mundane tasks and actions. He works at Home Mart (really, a Home Depot store!) and all appears normal, yet when it comes to his co-workers questioning his past and "where he came from" he's evasive, even goading a few younger co-workers into believing his was a "pip." When they remarked " A PIMP?!" he educated them on the group Gladys Knight and the Pips.

He always has a hard time sleeping and frequents a diner very early in the morning to read a book. The diner is also frequented by a young lady prostitute, and they befriend each other. It turns out she is "property" of the Russian mob, and when the mob finds out she avoids a high paying client so she could engage in friendly conversation with Denzel, then that's when the fit hits the shan!! A Russian "cleanup" agent is sent to investigate and this individual plays the frustrated and viciously immoral antagonist to Denzel's also vicious yet morally grounded protagonist.

From that point on it's Denzel at his best, methodically hunting people down, playing the vigilante, yet still referring to his digital wristwatch as to how long it takes him to "finish the job." He has a CIA/military/political past that's not really expounded upon too much in the movie, thus keeping the audience guessing and his victims always asking (before they die!) "Who are you?!"

After watching the movie, you'll never look at the tools at Home Depot the same way again!!

AWESOME FLICK!

It has been almost a month since someone posted in this thread so I thought I would wake it up a bit. I saw Blue Ruin tonight. Was ok and worth the watch.

I also saw Guardians of the Galaxy. Was pretty good (and a GREAT soundtrack):

^ Boom baby. Guardians was a good movie, but the set up for the expanded universe is what it was really for. Thanos will be a big deal in the next TWO Avenger movies, so I think the movie was 'great' overall.

I watched Real Steel again, it was still cute and a good smash em up robot movie.

:bump2 I miss this thread!

Good movies I have watched lately:

Sex Tape: Pretty good. Worth watching it just for the dog chase scene!

Wolf Of Wall Street: Probably my favorite movie of 2014.

The Enforcer(Denzel Washington): Badass!

Yea, 6/10 for me also. Good movie but I thought it was going to have more action and less drama than it did...
