Transformers 1: Good movie. 6/10. Worth the watch.
Transformers 2: Forgettable storyline. Characters are repetitive. 5/10. Watch if nothing else is on.
Transformers 3: Really getting old, main character is nothing but a side show hassle. 5/10. It's still transformers and you get Jet Fire. Combining like they did from Transformers Energon saved this movie.
Transformers 4: Freshened up a bit. You finally get some emotion out of the crew. Although, as usually, some of it is less than memorable. However, Galvatron makes an appearance and so do the DinoBots. 7/10. Best one yet for the use of traditional Transformers lore and lack of a wimpy main character.

I personally love transformers. But if you look past the flashy graphics, the movies kind of suck. I watch them purely to relive the cartoons from my childhood. I guess you could call it 'nerding out'.
everytime transformers movie come out they release a new lincoln park album . Which makes me wish i could shut my sense of hearing off for awhile .

saw edge of tomorrow , last night its great if your into scifi action
When I saw the trailer for Edge of Tomorrow, I said "that's just Ground Hog Day and Starship Troopers smashed together". Sure enough, that's exactly what it is, but I liked it.

Reminded me of Source Code.

Source Code - 7/10. Good sci-fi flick. I actually really liked it and didn't mind the love story for a change. If you take it at face value, avoid degrading the 'science', it can be quite the mind bender.

Please just call me; "Schultz"

I saw "Machete" when it first came out.
lots of blood, kind of stoopid,
worth the watch if you've got an hour & a half to waste. Don't take it seriously.

Then "Machete Kills"
From the get-go it doesn't take itself seriously, (a trailer in the beginning for "Machete Kills Again - In Space) and has dozens of familiar named stars in it.
Charlie Sheen being billed as Carlos Esteves,
Mel Gibson,
so on, etc.
They know it's a campy movie and run it like that.
Again, if you've got some time to waste (and i mean waste) it's worth the watch.
think 1970's soft porn/blacksploitation film with Mexicans, and a sh-t ton of blood.
heads chopped off and you can tell they were manikins from the start. The movie makes no bones about letting you know this is low budget and low tech.

If you want a Siskel/Ebert kind of thing it'll get 2 thumbs down for just plain stupidity,

Reds 2

I thought it was a good film. Full of deep thoughts, quaint action scenes, hearty laughs, and hot chicks. 8/10

Bruce Willis, John Malkovic, an older Brit lady, and a younger gal. (cannot remember their names)

We were going to watch Reds 2 tonight (I liked the first one) but got side tracked and watched The Heat Instead. After the first 10 minutes I was ready to leave the room but I stayed and ended up enjoying it. Tip - watch it with a couple of drunk girls. It will make it more fun (enhanced the experience because drunk women will love the movie).

Oh, Identity Thief (with the same girl in it) was a better movie. I remember laughing quite a bit.

Dude, Really?

Helen Mirren and Catherine Zeta Jones are two of the most gorgeous creatures on Earth, one brilliant and the other pretty good actresses.

Anything with Melissa McCarthy makes me sick.
I don't think she is funny.
Does not appeal to me.
0/10 the Heat.

Finally a plump chick makes it big in movies and................she's got a potty mouth. My goodness, is that the only way she got famous? I guarantee if she had a part in The Big Lebowski she would have shamed the boys.

That and woman activists. My wife thinks she is hilarious and says I'm just 'sexist' and that's why I don't think she is funny.

There are plenty of women in sitcoms that I think are hilarious. Not many in stand up comedy though. For instance, Carla from Scrubs was funny in my opinion. The women of Big Bang Theory are funny too. Melisa McCarthy is not. Maybe it's the language or the way she conducts herself. I doubt it's the weight.

I'm trying to think of a funny, large, woman that I like. I'll be back with that.

EDIT-Totally off topic too, skip if desired:

Not really comedians, but famous fat women. The search continued.

Quote:

Oh, but she is! She is that thoughtless and tasteless! Because the article goes on to explain why girls aren’t funny (but just on stage, ladies, we’re better than men everywhere else!): girls only talk about weight problems or shoes or insecurities or like, WOMEN’S ISSUES, god, how BORING.

The main reason her stand-up act aggravated me (and pretty much everyone there, by amount of people leaving the tent) was that she spoke about ‘women’s issues’. Her introduction was launching into ripping apart women who have sex too much. Then onto pregnancy, then into divorce and back into taking the out of young girls in tiny shorts. All of her ‘funny’ material was just about women. Why do you female comedians HAVE to talk about these same topics? Every. Single. Time. It makes us women look like we have nothing else to talk about. That we moan all the time about being a woman. We not just baby-making machines that complain about shoes and diets. At least I don’t think so.

While I actually agree that some of the female comedian 'hot topics' are not universal, I don't like how she slants this as saying guy topics can't be universal. A fair portion of my favorite comedians just tell plain old jokes. Take for instance, Jim Gaffigan:
http://www.cc.com/video-clips/ad7jtu/stand-up-jim-gaffigan--people-with-glasses
A joke about glasses and how wearing them can make you look crazy. That's comedy genius because it appeals to broad audiences. Maybe more women comedians should focus on family friendly, universal, comedy instead of the potty mouth 'woman' issues I see so much.

I found my fat, female, comedian of preference too!
Actress Rebel Wilson, AKA Fat Amy.
I've found her funny in everything she is in. She plays the sort of 'stupid' comedy relief in a lot of things, but she does it well.

As I said, watching the girls in my living room watch the movie was very entertaining.

Anyway, I saw a good one tonight - The Place Beyond The Pines. Do not watch the trailer below if you intend to see that movie. 7.4 on IMDB. I am officially recommending this...

Cannot find a place to watch Edge of Tomorrow yet - it sounds good.
