Regarding female comedians:

Melissa McCarthy was hilarious in The Heat. I liked how guys kept hitting on her. And when she was trying to get out of the car, good physical comedy.

Just saw Roseanne do a few minutes of standup on the finale of the last comic standing. Was LOL. She was the funniest person on that show.

Just watched Noah. I found the first 30 minutes or so pretty interesting but the remaining 18 hours (seemed like a long movie to me) just so so. Not sure I would recommend it as something to watch.

Mickey Mouse Club House: Road Rally 10/10. 'Nuff said.

Honestly, my wife says Divergent was a great movie. From the 3 minutes I saw, I'd agree. She watched it about 5 times this week.

I watched #1, fell asleep watching #2, I don't think I'm even going to attempt to watch #3. If I did, she would be the only reason:

Expendables 3 - Fun! Typical lame Stallone writing, but there are some surprising twists to add depth. The return of Mel Gibson and Wesley Snipes to action films alone is worth going to see. Antonio Banderas steals the movie.

The Power of Few - kind of a crappy version of Two Days in the Valley or any other "all these stories are related" type movies. Not sure I could recommend it. FWIW, the trailer has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. Not sure why they do that but they most definitely did it this time...

Man, I loved Guardians of the Galaxy! Never knew about or heard of the comic but this movie was awesome! I like Chris Spratt from Parks and Recreation and I was dieing laughing and loved the music! Great movie! :-)

That "Guardians" movie seems to be pretty good, because everyone is talking about it.

I just watched 'The Invisible' on Youtube. I see in the comments some people liked it, some didn't-- that's pretty normal for every movie almost.
I liked it quite a bit. It is not sci-fi but it has that twinge that twerks the imagination. I think it is very well directed and produced which also made it enjoyable.
Interesting story that I have not really seen in another movie or tv show- so it gets a couple of bonus points for being unique (at least to me).
Plus it was free- every Metro guy should love THAT.

The Last Days ( Los Ultimos Dias) - NETFLIX

This is phenomenal if you like the dystopian genre. It's not zombies or a plague or anything. The entire world suddenly starts suffering from agorophobia. People all over the world are trapped where they were when the event occurred. How the protagonists solve their life problems while dealing with this "panic", as it's commonly referred to, is really cool.

If you played (The last of Us) you'll really enjoy the last 10 minutes, and there is no connection in the real world between the game and the movie.

Watched two movies tonight:

1) Red 2 - After watching the first one a year or so ago (I remember really enjoying the movie) I didn't expect much from this one. I absolutely hate most sequels. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good movie and didn't rely on part 1 too much.

2) The Immortals - I almost turned this off after 15 minutes but stuck around for some reason. It ended up being OK. Can't say it was the best movie in the world but if you are looking for something that is the red headed stepchild of 300 and Clash of the Titans then this may be for you.

I didn't post anything earlier but my wife and watched two movies yesterday as well. The first was Pacific Rim. I left the room in disgust after about 20 minutes but she sat through it and said she actually liked it. What does she know, she thinks the Fast and Furious series is great.

The second movie was Star Trek Into Darkness - I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I watched Pacific Rim Thursday night too. It was ridiculous in many ways, but as mindless fun, I enjoyed it.

z34 and I saw Pacific Rim when it was in theaters. We liked it everything about it, other than me calling it Pacific Rimjob and thinking it was hilarious.

Just saw "Guardians" last night. It was good. Not an 8.6/10 like IMDB has it listed, if I rated it it would be in the neighborhood of 7-7.5. However, I don't really 'do' that kind of movie.
