air locker will be used to lock ( like a Posi) the rear wheels? will it be all wheel drive or will the air locker engage the rear wheels? very ambitious project!
No, the air will actuate the rear differential in its entirety. The way honda designed this rear end, it uses a clutch pack to engage the rear end. Normally this is activated by the difference in hydrolic pressure of two pumps, one driven by the front wheels, and one driven by the rear. When the front wheels spin, the front pump makes more pressure than the rear, and that pressure is applied to the clutch pack. I will be getting rid of all of the pumps, and all associated parts, and will activate the clutch pack with pneumatic pressure instead, since instead of really low pressure, I can have 70 - 100psi pushing on the clutch pack.

Right now, my bracing is about as good as I can do, due to the size of engine tranny and transfer case

Long long LONG time and no post. I started another project with my dad, and now the Geo is on hold unfortunately. I'm flirting with the idea of selling the project. I could leave it front wheel drive and just add the turbo, but I don't know if I will have the time to do everything the way it needs done.

That being said, the last thing I have done to the car is remove the gas tank and started unbolting some of the rear suspension parts to start the awd setup.

If someone would be interested in finishing what o started, hit me up. I might be willing to let everything go really cheap. Thanks guys, otherwise, updates will be on hold for a little while!
