Well I had to order some new a-arms, and they won't be in until Tuesday, so I started working on mounting the motor. The passenger side mount is welded and holes are started, But I can't finish the holes til I get bigger drills.

I'll work on that Monday.

So passenger mount is done. This is only preliminary as the motor may need to move left or right depending on axles

Well today I went backwards. Found out the axles will need to be crazy short, and there is no stock on the axles to have them shortened. So, I'm guessing I will have to do custom axles...

On the plus side. I picked up the timing belt/water pump/ecu/wiring harness for the project. This will use the 99-00 civic si ecu, with modified fuel pressure for the b20 block, but this will only be for the naturally aspirated setup, as I'll probably look into hondata for boost control.

I will update tomorrow after I replace the a arms and start tearing into the motor.

Got the lower control arms in today, and boy was it fun! First this happened:

So then I tried an easy out, to complete failure:

So after some debating on what to do, as these bolts are the only thing holding up the rear of the control arm, I decided to drill the whole thing out, cut a hole in the drivers floor, and use a longer nut and bolt combo the get it working.

awesome rust hole drivers side:

This bolt was the first one I tried, but it was a little too short, so I went with a longer one:

And I forgot to take a pic of the finished product, but it turned out well...

And these are the lightweight wheels I will be using, this is with no motor in so the car is sitting pretty high

Still a long way off, but making a little progress here and there....

Did absolutely no work on the car today. 5yr anniversary for me and the misses, so no new updates will happen until monday...

That being said, last night I modified the passenger side mount to push it back about an inch and a half, and started on the rear mount. That will be a cinch to do, and finishing the drivers side will be easy too, then they will get painted and I will start on putting the vtec head on the block so I can get it back in for the last time. Then the wiring and axles and she will be good to go, oh and a 255 walbro pump....

Finished the motor mounts tonight. Engine is set in place and axles line up pretty darn good! Next few days I will tear down the motor and put the vtec head on, and I'm sure there will be some down time, so in that down time I will work on wiring and relays for everything like the fuel pump and what not. I took a couple pictures of the rear mount, I'll try to post them. Nothing special....
