Ha Ha, actually that was the first car I have ever cut in half. Previous owner aparently refuses to send me the corrected title, so the only option I have is to cut it in half to scrap it. The frame is too rusty to use. I rebuilt the motor only to find the bad rust a couple weeks later...

Well, it's been almost two months since I have worked on the car, but I'm back at it. Welded up a downpipe, still a long way off now though, something is wrong with the steering rack. Also welded in the bung for the O2, and let the car idle for about 20 seconds to check idle afr's. Right around 15.5-16:1, so not bad. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some more accomplished. Thanks for looking!

Ok, did some more random work this weekend. Got the clutch bled, which was really weird due to the in line dampener that I had to use to get it all to work. I also welded the exhaust on, and now I need to tack weld the outer tie rod ends to the tie rods, install axles, change a wheel bearing, and make a throttle cable. After that is done it's just getting fluids filled, and battery relocated. It's getting closer....

Thanks for reading,

John

Small update for today, had a little spare time so I changed a wheel bearing that was toast. Also installed drivers side axle and had to tack weld the tie rod end link to the tie rod, due to lack of room for a nut on there. So, drivers side is all buttoned up minus the axle nut, those are on order. Passenger side will be much easier, just a tack weld and install axle.

Uneventful, but it's coming slowly! Thanks for looking

So, three months go by and I am finally getting back to work on the car! It's currently 5° outside, so I started the car, and it wouldn't idle below 2000rpm, so I quit for the night.... I need to put tranny fluid in, rebend some brake lines to clear turning radius, then take her out and start auto tuning!

He sure did! The turbo is a 7066 with a .68 exhaust A/R, so we will see if the blower is enough to spool it! Should be, meaning power potential is about to go through the roof.

You could also do a compound turbo to get the big snail moving...

I have already done sc+tc, and it was full boost at 2k rpm. This car won't spool that quickly, but it will be quicker for me to fab then compound charging.
