First post, I've been lurking a few weeks.
Just got a good deal on a 1988 Chevy Sprint Metro.
I picked it up from an older gentleman who can no longer drive. He had hit something fairly hard on the upper part of the drivers door destroying the mirror surround and most of the mount (mirror is still intact) and pushing the door in such a way that the window now will not roll down more than a few inches and to make it close all the way I have to shimmy it up by hand.
I have pulled the door panel to see if it's an alignment issue and the bottom of the window rests firmly on the internal door frame. I don't know how I could fix this.
I have looked at the PNP inventory online and there are no 888 sprints at any within 100 miles of me.

What year/make/model drivers doors would be compatible? I have searched but it seems most people are working with much newer cars so the info doesn't really help.
The Haynes manual I have is 85-94 Chevy and Geo, are the doors interchangeable for these years? I know some of the trim items will be different, but if I can get one that is "close enough" and fits right I can worry about the aesthetics later.
Thanks!

Well, I was thinking the years were 1985-1988, so I did a search on http://www.car-part.com, for "Door Front", 1988, Chevy Sprint. Then selected Left, 2 door.
Results that pop up DO seem to indicate that an 85 door will fit.
There's a couple of results in California, one in Redding, which Google says is 3hr 25min from you, and one in Arroyo Grande, which is, geez, even farther, 4hr 36 min!

Wait, aha! If you scroll down the list to ones that say call and ask for price, there are a couple more...
Concord, CA - 1hr 8 min
...Santa Paula, 6hr 10 min. Sheesh.

So, Concord, maybe? :hmm

Call to ask about the price!

Good luck! :)

Thanks! That is a great help. I'll give them a call, it may be worth the drive...
