PSI@T-fitting on fuel inlet to T/B held at 14-15 PSI at first, then shot to 90+ again. Could be a bit of stuff got washed down the return line.
* I wonder if a filter on THAT would be a good idea.

Can you post a picture of how you hooked up the fuel pressure gauge and state how you tested the pressure?

Been a while - lots of stuff on my plate, bad weather, and a few "OUCH!" type experiences.

But in the news - I am transitioning into the wonderful world of video with a newer and up to date PC, software, and soon some more goodies to make it the way into the future I wanted to explore for a couple of years now:

In the immortal words of Richard Dawson:
"~Watch that screen..."

You're so close, you've almost got it!
Normally, I'd edit your post, to fix the video link for you, but this seems like a teachable moment.

So you have tried to put this in the flash code... thing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=a-l94LmyAQk

The one I would use is this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-l94LmyAQk

Something about the extra words (feature=player_detailpage&) makes it not quite work right.

So switch those two links out (Or just delete the extra bits, whatever!), and your video should be good to go! :thumb

I found it - it's so much easier at FTZ, the tags are media=youtube with a closing tag. I forgot how this thing worked...

I had the subtitle working great before uploading to youtube - but they have a last minute "We can fix your video" thing that I'm pretty sure jacked it up. I'll ignore it next time.

So what do ya think?

That was only the third video I have ever done.

Not bad, the marquee kinda words at the beginning were kind of twitchy.
Picture quality is decent, can see details ok.
Those tires DO look nice! ^o)
Your polyurethane tubing concerns me, I don't want you to set your car/yourself on fire... :scared :bananaburn
If your pressure is still too high then maybe you have a problem with your fuel pressure regulator? :dunno
(That's just me guessing out loud; haven't even touched an FSM, and I'm only middlingly good at that sort of thing anyway.)

The pressure regulator is working, the final obstacle is the inlet to the tank - all the rest has been re-done.

But that tank was literally PLASTERED with an incredible gunk that formed solid material.

I'm betting that the inlet to the tank itself is still clogged

~I never checked that, and I feel like such a fool!

While I had it out I should have looked there.

ALL OF THE LINES BACK TO THERE are clear - it has to be a blockage at the tank fitting.

This is a disadvantaged project, regardless what happens I have to think about the next one
A car that runs to begin with - the clock on this shows 170+ K miles

Kelly Blue Book calls a pristine beautiful 1993 Suzuki Swift a thing worth $1200.oo

(TOPS)

What little they see of the future...

I see the price going UP

I think I'm screwed for now -

I dropped the tank, sure enough found the tank inlet plugged, wasn't able to completely clear it, and the flow rate isn't high enough to keep the pressure from pegging out to the max.

I think it's time to replace the tank itself. At the very least I need to drain it, pull it, pull the access trap on the top, and see if there is anything that can be done from inside it.

But I doubt it. I think the old tank just needs to go away.

I got more data - there are some options, I sent for some metal line and fittings.

See this vid:

What is going to happen is very simple, I'm going to run a bypass that allows full fuel return flow through a new channel back into the tank.
Some may think that is a dysfunctional way of going about it - but if what is available is beyond usefulness you have to try a new method or direction.

~I'm just creating a new flow path.

Not at all. :shake As long as the new line does what the old line did, when it was working, then you're golden. :thumb Heck, I'd replace both hard lines since you're bending, fitting, and tucking. :gamerz The you know both a good. :cheers
