![]() You questioned what is supposed to be under the turn signals. These are factory swift fog lights I have the original fog lights and original fins in the middle so this is almost what it's supposed to look like. Excuse my filthy car, almost 1000 miles a week on that car 7 days a week work no time to clean it, then yesterday I followed a chopped out civic that smoked an had a fart can, left my car spattered with oil dots

Now that styling I like- The only way the bumper I have could wind up close to that is if I made a mold after shaping it and then cast&shot glass resin |

those ducts i used to mount my fog lights came standard on swifts below the gt trim level from 89 thru 94. i got them new from a guy whose wife worked for a west coast suzuki dealership. you can still get them but they must be ordered from japan. you can still get the replacement lower front bumper cover from the collision repair jobbers. in black primer a mk3 lower cover is a bit over $100. i have both my 91 verts dressed in the mk2 style as shown. my 92 gt has the ribbed type like your car. the last pair of front and rear bumpers i bought and had shipped from new england were in that tahitian metallic green. the front and rear upper and lower cover set cost me $100 but it was over $300 to have them packed and shipped via fedex. i'm looking for something trick to add a lip, too. i need something more than lawn edging though. i don't want to get rid of the factory appearance but i need something to tie the fender flairs into the front bumper's line with maybe corner splitters. |

I have a super large battery in the tray and it seems fine if it's longer than the tray. Long as it's not taller. So I'm confused you have not fired up this car yet? |

Shh. Behave, all of you. You never know - he may come back some day. We would welcome him back - you all know this. As long as he keeps a good attitude. No insults. No nothing. Ok?

I dunno what to do about the previous posts - leave them I suppose, unless JM can scrap them. I re-organised everything I had at photobucket. There is new stuff, and I am waiting for 400 1/4X20X1/2 inch fasteners I just ordered to fit the parts of the air dam together. I also rounded up quite a bit of fiberglass supplies from the "DUNGEON" I call a garage. Some of that is from when I worked on RV's years ago. Stand by for updated images ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ~Test fit of the basic "BOX" form. Since all surfaces of the metal used (aluminum) are painted, it will have to be stripped before final assembly using epoxy and fiberglass resin. The fenders and upper bumper cover had to be removed (the fenders came off to get to the upper cover end fasteners) This is with things just set in place loosely to get an idea of where I was at with it. ![]() About the above pic with green notations on it, item 1) is a "SHADOW LINE" Looking straight down from above on the test fit - that is where framework above the dam floor overhangs, including the original center support for the bumper cover. The floor of the air dam clears all of the understructure (it's 12 inches deep) just right to pin the floor to the cross member with self tapping screws at the back of it. A reinforcement will be made to tie in to the original center bumper cover support that will add strength and rigidity to it all. On the "SHADOW LINE" you can see the shape of the tab sticking out. Green arrows 2) and 3) show both where the bottom bar was cut, and where the cut out metal sides will wrap around to form the sides of the inlet duct. The red arrows are bolt locations NOTE: The Air Dam floor was fitted and bolted BEFORE the bottom crossbar of the grill cover was cut. I wanted it exactly in line The quarter by twenty screws can be removed later, unlike pop rivets, if I want to do that. My reasoning is that any ragged edge in the airflow stream is going to cause interference, but to have something available that allows for everything to be lined up accurately is necessary before resin is used to permanently fix the whole works in place. This many cleco's is out of my present budget... http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=cleco+clamps&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=35009809764&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7301368363119149025&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_2zmlgysjjl_b * Cleco fasteners are used to fit sheet metal during fabrication. I learned about them from US NAVY AIRFRAMES techs. When I was on active duty - I used every chance to learn how to do cool stuff that I didn't know how to do yet. SO I ran around everywhere learning things that had nothing to do with my real job... I figured "Where else could I get that level of experience for FREE?" *Hunter S. Thompson was a stupid bastard Edited by Greywolf, Oct 1 2014, 02:42 PM.
