im quite frustrated. i ordered a all aluminum radiator for my metro to keep her running nice and cool. i got all the connections undone to fins out i got the wrong part :C...... doethis does not match up in my mounting brackets. the hoses will fit and the tranny fluid cooler/warmer will work too. but currently i cannot mount to the car :C...... does anyone know how to fix? will later model year mounting hardware be the fix? i need the ones with the little nubbies that this sits in. heres a link to the exact radiator i bought. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291011996203?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#vi-ilComp |

I have the same radiator. I had to put a stack of washers and use a longer bolt to fasten it to the support. I also bought an aftermarket cooling fan. Can't remember if it will fit on the new radiator. Edited by Bjetmech, Jun 28 2014, 03:23 PM.

![]() That's a 95-01 radiator. radiatorclassic DOES sell the correct radiator for your year, sometimes. Sometimes they're out of stock. |

Great catch Mythstae. That rad uses the top clamps, not the bolts for the early units. You should return it for the right one. |

i know its a 95-01 radiator NOW lol. it pops up on ebay when i set my car up. whrn i ordered it i thought it looked right. i like the long bolts suggestion with washers. ill try and think of something. i noe know i have trans cooling lines hooked into my current one so i will use it as that when i put my new one in. i did not contact seller about exchange yet. i may only if this longer bolt idea doesnt pan out. |

Sorry I didn't check your link. The lower mounts are very different. Not sure it would be advisable to try and make it work. The curved lower mount would damage the bottom of the radiator. If you were closer I would buy it from you as I need one for my 95 4/5. Edited by Bjetmech, Jun 28 2014, 08:39 PM.

Just another wrench.

I believe the newer cars are shorter than the old cars. Exchange it or find the brackets off a 95-2000 car and see if you can fabricate a mount. |
