Yeah, I tried the front seats with this method, except just washing them in a bucket with soapy water and then letting them sun dry. They didn't smell too bad afterwards. I even tried to wash the foam, which sort of worked but took like 3-4 days to dry. I think that the rear seats might be manageable, and perhaps I'll try the washing machine method like in the other thread. The front driver's side seat has a large tear on the left hand side of the seat, so it's just covered with a seatcover. I had removed the carpet and taken it to a car wash and sprayed it for about 10 minutes with a pressure washer. This removed most of the stains, except for a large one near the clutch pedal. I just wanted it to smell good, which was my main motivation. Hopefully at some point I can get a carpet replacement. |

As for the name... I don't know I'm lost there. I'm thinking of "The Thing" like from the cheesy horror movie. or maybe something like "Sir something or another... like an English title of honor.?? I don't know I'm a nerd like that. |

Ok. I'm planning on doing the brakes soon. I'm not really sure what kind of rotors and pads to buy. I just don't want anything that squeaky. So if any of you have some suggestions, please let me know. |

Just my two cents, I think you should name him gumby. If you want you could go with general gumby or benedict gumby. I am loving the color though!

Rather save franklins than Lincoln's. Dr Lincoln has a ring. Why is your car called dr Lincoln? Because it saves me green |

So for those who are tech savvy: My car is a '93. Which doesn't have holes in the hub assembly to thread bolts in to separate the hub from the rotor. Will I have to go and get a slide hammer to remove this assembly? I sprayed the thing down with penetrating oil and letting it soak. I don't really see any way around it though. I think that NAPA would lend one to me though. They want like $40 on their website for it. ![]() BTW I like the name Dr. Lincoln, has a catchy sound. I don't think he was a doctor though. |

Be wise to have front hub bearing as well, the sliding pounding hammering action can have negative effects on bearings in the hub. Yea I'm bout to do the front deal just like you, PITA! Later models the rotor separates from hub, but then you need 13" wheels and the speedometer gear for accuracy. But if you road trip Lincoln long hauler 13" up grade is a good thing. I don't meant thread hijack but I change to 13" wheels when I go on road trips and 12" in town. Drops rpm by 500 with 13" and over a 1600 mile trip get some great mpg |
