The coolant fan Did turn on this time. But the gauge only read about half. :'( Installed a new sender from my spare parts.
That's what it's supposed to do , isn't it? In my experience, if you see it budge above half, something is wrong.

Nice work, they're lucky to have an expert go over their car.
Well, yes & no. :hmm On our past 91, 92, 93, and 94 Metros, the coolant fan would come on at a little past 3/4. Will the new sender, theirs is doing the same. :thumb
I know the "expert" statement was satire. ;) If not, it should be. ^o) No expert by a long shot. :shake

Car was delivered last night. :drivin They seem please with the results. :thumb Next we need to tackle the floor rust. :gamerz
For now, they're just enjoying the ride. :cheers
Webster says this about an expert:

having, involving, or displaying special skill or knowledge derived from training or experience

Seems pretty close to the mark to me

Unfortunately not. :( They're a "type 1", Glenn will explain, and prefer drive under the radar. :lol

Then I want to meet them that much more so they can teach me how to do that. I was unaware you could avoid it by driving under it. :D

Regardless, it's nice to see the car you helped them get going being used well by nice people. they seem quite happy with it and I'm sure that is in no small part due to your help... :thumb
