I have a 94 metro 2 door 4 speed that will not start, no spark, I have replaced the ECM, coil, pick up coil, checked all grounds, fuses and relays.

Does it turn over? The starter engages and turns the flywheel? Do you have compression? http://geometroforum.com/topic/2574993/1/

Has anyone messed with the distributor?

This is a 5 speed manual (not 4 speed) so is the clutch pedal engaging the clutch switch?

Have you checked the continuity of the wires to all the parts you have replaced.

I'd go back to using the old parts unless you know for a fact the ECM, coil and relays were bad.

Can you give us more history on the car?

Do you have a shop manual? Search ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/1994+geo+metro+shop+manual

Have you checked it for a broken timing belt?

I bought this one used not running. I had one several years ago that i put 500,000 miles on, replaced engine twice. I thought I could trouble shoot and get this one running, timing belt is fine, distributor works, clutch switch engages, fuel pump runs and there is pressure, it has decent compression, and does turn over. I just can not get any spark from coil at all. i have checked continuity on as many wires as i could trace out still have many more to do. The person that had it before me replaced the PCM but they also messed with the ingnition switch, which appears to function properly. I had a problem with the ingition switch on my old one and though it may be the problem.

You should follow a trouble shooting tree for no spark. Does it display any check engine codes? If you got a hack job from a previous owner then you could have anything. :banghead

:smackface Welcome to your new forum, rocklinash! :coffee

Oh, yeah, CEL?

Well, I have a 91 manual which is probably wrong for your 94 but my speculation usually brings out the guru in everyone and better suggestions. :rofl

If you were throwing code 41, 'ignition signal circuit' you'd be looking at a brn/wht wire from B6 on the ECM to the coil and a blk/wht to the ignition switch. A possible short in the Noise Suppressor connected to the brn/wht wire and the tach could exist (if so equipped). So yes, your ignition switch idea sounds like it is still on the table, at least to me, as with anything connected to that brn/wht wire between the ECM and coil, or anything the ECM sees like the clutch switch you know is OK. You are familiar with the ground wires connected to the TB manifold.

Please give it a day or two for other members like Big Rhino to come out of the woodwork with suggestions.
