There is an intermediate pipe that bolts between the cat & the muffler. Might as well ck that & your muffler with a fine tooth comb. Easier to do all at once instead of coming back later for a repeat.

I'll be going this route for my next cat.

I thinking to get the Magnaflow direct fit catalytic converter from Advance auto parts. What about the muffler? If I purchase this two item it will be enough for new exhaust system or am i missing something?
...some also put a resonator between the cat & the muffler, though it is not necessary.

2 Swifts n a Turbo Sprint

In my experience, so it's my opinion of course, and I'm very sensitive to cabin drone.

For the best sounding naturally aspirated 3 cylinder...

High flow cat -> 14-18" long glass pack(4" round) - Muffler(straight through gives an angry beehive type of sound)

Sounds great outside, and doesn't drone inside.

Best sounding Turbo 3...

High flow cat -> 14-18" glasspack (4" round) -> 8" glasspack (4" round) side exit.

Quiet enough you can hear the turbine spool, flows almost like a straight pipe, only downside is that you do lose ground clearance.

I don't believe in resonator/megaphone type mufflers, makes cars sound like they are crying for their moms, and gives it an absolutely gutless exhaust note.

The term "high flow" is a joke when it comes to cats if you don't believe me go to the local parts store ask for a magnaflow cat and basic walker cat it's just BS on your ob2 cars most of the time magnaflow an walkers will work but will not last but couple years you will get a p0420 insufficient threshold bank 1. If I was going to buy a aftermarket cat it would be a catco. I work at a exhaust shop so I have some knowledge about cats
