I bought a set of Hella FF (dot approved) replacement headlights from rallylights.com. They are an improvement over the original sealed beams that were in the car but they have the standard (low wattage) bulbs in them. Naturally I want more light (more power, more fuel mileage etc. etc.) but am afraid of the original smallish wiring in my car. So my questions are as follows: How much wattage can the factory wiring tolerate? How difficult to upgrade to heavier wiring/relays? What wattage and what bulb coloration is reasonable? I know there are threads on this subject but I don't know how to do searches very well and my headlights are a bit unusual, but sorry if this is "old hat". |
