Howdy. I pulled my engine out for a rebuild over a year ago and have it back in now. Unfortunately I lost my notes about what wires go where and would appreciate any help you might offer. The numbered tags you see on some of them were from a head gasket replacement a few years ago. They worked great! Too bad I cleaned them all off the engine side. 1991 base Metro with standard transmission. Thanks in advance. Okay, got it all together. New info: #2 goes to a plug near the EGR valve. Found the shift indicator further down the harness. My #7 was black with a yellow stripe and goes to the starter solenoid. Your (UncleBranton) #7 above is yellow with a black stripe and goes to a sensor on the intake manifold. I distinctly remember this not being hooked up before on mine. What is it? Where does that yellow/black wire come from. Off to hook up vacuum lines! Thanks again for the help! |

yellow with a black stripe and goes to a sensor on the intake manifold. that is the a/c cut off switch if the coolant gets too hot... a/c will not work properly if this wire is not hooked up...
