Vert turn signal switch question; What does yours do?

My 92 convertibles turn signal switch is not self canceling. The question is, is that the way these are made or is mine defective? Does your vert turn signal switch cancel itself or do you manually cancel it?

You have a defective one. They are self canceling.

I figured they were made that way. Well now, the question is to fix it or live with it. :hmm

Usually they will wear out on one side or feel funky but this one does nothing on either side.

I am not sure but I investigated and found that the SIR (airbag) system and the turn signals are on the same piece in the steering column.

My '91 FSM---page 3F4A-2 indicated that the SIR coil can be off either to the right or left and this page tells you how to center it.

I am wondering if the coil is off either direction will it affect the turning off point of the turn signals

I don't know--just something I thought you might want to look into.........

I may just live with it and turn it off manually or I may fix it during the winter time when nothing much going on. I will keep it in mind.
