Yes, we use 3M auto painting tape. They have several different lines, the yellow seems to work the best for me.

that blue tape used for painting houses and that horrible frog tape is crap for automotive body work.

regular old 3m masking tape works way better, tanner. ;)

Held my Ford color chip for UJ up to my car at work today, color isn't near as close as I thought it was going to be, but still very similar. Best of luck the rest of the way. Don't skip any steps and you should be happy with the results with that color!

That is gonna be one sweet XFI! I was up at your place a couple weeks ago with Murf. I just put 1 + 1 together and realized who you were and thanks for the good deal on the ash tray and dash box.

No problem, sorry I couldn't let my perfect hood go home with you! It's been soda blasted, epoxy primed and urethane primed now, I found one tiny dent to fix!

It would have been nice to find a cherry white one that I could have just bolted on.But I did get a nice yellow one from Merf. I figgered that since it had to be painted I would paint it black The rest of the car don't look bad, white car with a black top and hood should be pretty nice. Plus a Mercedes emblem to replace the Geo Globe!
