Ok I have my cigarette lighter in my 91 3/auto and if i use it i blow the fuse. Regardless of amps it blows. I even tried a 30 amp and it blows if i try and use the lighter. I can use a 12 volt charger and it won't blow. I tested the voltage today with car running and got 14 volts all around. Shouldn't it say 12??? Any help appreciated. |

Educated guess............If nothing else is blowing out then you probably have a short in the lighter. Are you using the lighter it self or some other plug in accessory. |

My car came with a lighter, it trips it. Got a different lighter from a geo parts car / trips it. Any 12 volt accessory will not trip it. |

Yahh I looked at the wiring for it untouched. Read 0 volts with car off. The lighter is stuck in the plastic part. How do I get it out? I tried twisting / pulling to no avail. |

back of your cig lighter that twists off and then it pulls out after u got back piece off depending on how tight it is mite need little pliers or to undo two screws at top by radio two at bottom by cup holder / cig lighter and one by steering column to remove plastic piece order to get better grip at it |
