It's hard to tell from the completed photos.. how much of a downgrade is that leading to the garage? You might want to add a drainage channel in front of the cement pad on the downhill slope depending on how fast water rushes down that hill. You might find your garage trying to flood, depending on how the grading of the hill and the cement leading into the garage is. These would probably do the trick. Run the outlet(s) down around the side of the garage: ![]() The house I had in Arkansas had a big addition added on one side with a STEEP downhill grade on that side. The house itself actually flooded twice. The first time when it had no drainage.. the second time a few years later after I *did* put in drainage, but my drainage was still not enough. However, it was a much larger structure and a steeper hill. That's what I had to deal with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5y4ZQ5WRLg The drainage installation wasn't done yet which is why it was an open trench. It drained BETTER later on once it was completed.. but even that wasn't enough. Every time it rained really hard, i was outside in the storm clearing debris from the basis and hoping it wouldn't get overwhelmed and get into the house. A few times it almost did. It wold have if I hadn't gone out and helped the drain basis stay clear. In the video where you see the water running into the open basin is the cement slab leading into the garage. The cement IS sloped back down away from the garage but only minimally. With that much water, it would just build up. The second time it flooded, it was a week until closing (I was selling) and I had already told the buyer it flooded a month after I moved in back in 2010. He went on and bought the house anyway with the intent to regrade the driveway somehow to solve the flooding. I wish him the best of luck.
