I've torn down what I believe is a transplanted 96 1.3 engine ( someone scratched 96 into the G13B block.). The rear main seal area is stepped with the one piece rear main seal located behind a larger round piece that the flexplate is bolted to. Its impossible to remove the seal without removing this "flywheel adapter". I'm guessing its out of a samurai or something. I've been looking all day and haven't figured it out. Any ideas? |

That looks like an automatic flexplate spacer. It should just come off, it may be stuck. |
