Got my cam installed today. Filled in the small porosity hole in the block. ![]() ![]() Tomorrow I'm starting to tape off the block and get some paint on this thing. |

That looks very nice! I thought about painting my block before rebuilding it, but I didn't go through with it. Next tine I will. |

Got my engine back in and over the weekend got it running. Today I got the timing set and did a compression test on it. This is the engine I picked up at a pull a part and went back through and put new gaskets in it. Pretty happy with it. ![]() Cylinder # 1 = 205psi ![]() Cylinder #2 = 203 psi ![]() Cylinder #3 = 200 psi ![]() It should do me for a long time. Oh yea, I had a rough idle condition and this one does a similar thing. Going to buy a new motor mount for the engine and see if that helps. |
