Not a Lambo, but an interesting piece on the rapid depreciation of a used Veyron ...

almost a million to repair. i watched these get made and so many parts are custom built parts. many by hand.

I think he had/HAS more wallet than a lot of things...

Social media has had an interesting "side effect" - people seem to post videos of themselves in order to show (off) something they think the world will find cool (them?), and instead people get to see something quite different than what the poster was thinking they would see.

I know, you didn't do it - the car did.

I counter steered the other way, and I was still feeling comfortable, but then I hit wheel lock.... you can't even do good circles in this car.
Maybe that explains why every time I see people in a Walmart parking lot doing donuts they aren't driving Lambos.

The car spun around, I did a 270 thing and the back end of the car was facing you guys and I was facing backwards."
However he got his money to buy a car that is obviously WAY over his skill, automobile intelligence, and maturity level, it obviously didn't require a basic understanding of 6th grade geometry.

It's kind of a long step up from his old RX-7, isn't it? And he seems to like the Mazda better. He could buy another really nice one for what he's going to blow on this repair. I think he'd be better off sticking to his "Fast 'n Furious" driving tutorial.

Leave the big cars for the big kids. He's just proven how little he belongs in a car that will, all by itself, go into a massive power oversteer slide, in the rain, on bald tires!

We got some smart people here at GMF I bet some one could put that Bugatti back on the road. I mean come on all engines are the same 3-12 all transmissions are the same and ultimately a car is a car. Bet it could have been repaired by some of our smart guys around here.

Yeah, but this is a W-16 putting out about 20 times the power of a good G10!

I understand your point, but the price of parts for a model that hasn't been made for years is going to be quite high. They'll probably have to make them from scratch, and even though VW owns Bugatti, you won't find them at the local VW parts counter!! I'm pretty sure that's where the bulk of the cost lies.

Yes! I mean, $200,000 for 1,000 HP is stupid to me. You could have the F&F Supra for that kind of money! And that was just for the wrecked shell with possible engine damage.

that transmission is unlike any other out right now. got to cost thousands for repairs on it. there are pretty much no off the shelf parts in a bugatti. good information on how they are made on the discovery channel "How They Do It". amazing car though.
