I am going to get photos of her tomorrow to let you guys see. Maybe she can get fixed, but I am not betting on it. :-/
My money is on snowfish. :bacondance

But a U-Haul tow trailer and 10' truck for 6 hours is $130 plus mileage would double that. The trailer is only $45.

snowfish shouldn't need to rent a truck; he has a Jeep.
:hmm Granted; I don't know if said Jeep has a tow hitch or not, but, well, it's possible, anyway!

Truly Good News. Thanks. :thumb I have no intentions of getting rid of the Jeep any time soon. I had to put another water pump in the other day. Only 4 years old. :hmm Total bearing failure. Belt was not too tight. Maybe the re-manufactured one's :dunno are not the greatest.

Things that I've replaced are steering u-joints(by necessity), drive line u-joints as preventative maintenance, total system flush with filters at 130k (bout time for it again), radiator, brakes, rotors, front hubs(pm). The A/C clutch bearing is now getting a little growly. That's next. Rear differential seals will be replaced next spring. Engine seems fine. Other than they seem "rattley" until warmed up. Our previous Cherokee Classic sounded the same.

Only thing that doesn't work is the ABS. I've chosen not to fiddle with that.

Towing enhancements are rear Monroe Load Levelers (coil overs) and Front Spring spacers to bring it back to level. About a 1 1/2" lift. Much nicer ride! Those Grand Cherokees are a little "fluffy" for my taste.

Some exterior enhancements due to clear coat delamination on the hood and fenders.

At Only 185k, I think I'll keep it. Cheers. :cheers

The Vinyl comes in 4x5 sheets. Cut to fit & stick it on. Well maybe a little more tricky than that! :lol

I used 3 sheets on the Jeep. The "fade out" is accomplished by using scissors & X-Acto knife.

When I'm not fishing or wrenching on something, this kind of stuff is how I relax. If my Geo would have been white, I would have SnowCamoed it in a heart beat! I know......I probably need therapy! But to me, this Is Therapy! :thumb

That's a shame AmandaRose. :shake Reality is, the rust you see can be doubled or tripled. :die A very ambitious person could save the car. I see a Solid 100+ hours, including the rest of the car's rear suspension, floor pans, wheel wells, etc, of welding, fabricating, and technical adjustments. :gamerz

It think you have made the right choice to sell it as a parts car. ^o) My condolences on your loss. :'(

Hope springs eternal... would it be possible to find someone who has the entire frame horns from a junkyard, pulled out by removing the spot welds? :dunno

With a decent engine in it, $400-500 might not be a bad choice, though. Compare it to shopping for a decent body, shipping it to St. Cloud (local selection of low-rust frames is somewhat limited) and swapping the good stuff out of her dead one, and it could be a viable option. I doubt Amanda's going to be using it for autocross anyway.
