One product I found to be super super good for removing heavy oil is a product by ZEP called fast 505, use gloves tho because it wrecks your hands and makes your skin fall off. Really powerful stuff. Get it at Home Depot in the "cleaner" isle. It kills grass, weeds cleans tires rims kills brain cells when the wind blows the fumes....yea and kills oil ![]() Here it is, I use this stuff all the time to clean things on my car. You posted URLs for photobucket as images, not the "img" tags. Hence by they are broken. |

Also I like to Boil SuperClean and spray it on with pressure. This works the best for grease removal |

What I do is get the spots to be cleaned wet with water hose it off real good. Then I spray it with the 505 let it soak on for a bit then use a garden hose with a spray wash tip. That's it really, I have pics around of some cars I've cleaned. But the stuff works good with 0 effort, if your so inclined give the spots a gentle scrub and you will be squeaky clean. Simple green works good, but in my opinion for heavy oil 505 works better and it's a good price, like $3 for the bottle with spray tip and $4 for the large bottle with out spray tip. |

Very nice. Thats on my agenda this weekend then. After its nice and sqeaky clean i will spray some Superior Rubber dressing to make it all nice and shiny. You can literally use this stuff on anything you want to make shine. Engine, Tires, Interior, exterior mouldings you name it. it costs around 30 dlrs for a gallon. Anyway ive had a good experience with it.

I do mine a little different: I'm a big fan of using a few different products. I personally ALWAYS start with a cool completely dry bay. (Skip the next part if your bay isn't over the top bad) I use brake cleaner on the heaviest areas (this is only for extreme oil/grease). I follow (or start) by soaking the bay with pure simple green, not diluted, then going over it with purple power. let it soak for 5 minutes. I personally use a cheap electric pressure washer to spay it off, but if this isn't available, then some light scrubbing is needed with a rag(mostly just wipe over things. Wear gloves). |

Not bad at all! Looks better all around. Not show room quality by any means. But, if I was buying a used car, I'd take the second one over the first. Definitely looks more taken care of. Does this car sit under a tree? The firewall seems like gunk build up, maybe not just oil. |
