Exhaust component compatability

My daughter got her boyfriend to do some unauthorized modifications to my 1995 3cyl 5-speed 2 door hatchback. :doper
He cut off the mounting flange from the short pipe that comes off the exhaust manifold. :smackface
It's the flange that should bolt to the long pipe that has the muffler on it. :shit
I want to make it stock again. :wtf

Is the 1995 short pipe compatable withe the 1994 and older (I've got a 1992 2 door donor) given that both are 2 door hatch backs ? :dunno

Is the 1995 2 door hatchback short pipe compatable with any other variation (4 door, dedan or older or newer modles) ? :D

I'll probably look for a junkyard exhaust section, so I was hoping to get some guidence on what will fit. :rtfm

I can get by with just the short pipe. :rad

Thanks!

...first question - did you kick the boyfriend's ass up one side of the street and down the other?

nooooooo...first off, the pipe on the 92 will cause the stabilizer (anti sway) bar to rub against it, the length should be the same... :type

Yea, I was going to give more details on the boyfriend, but didn't want to waste space. I have not done anything about it, but have been fighting the urge to clobber both of them.

What he did to complete the job was the sign of a true idiot. He clamped (u-clamped) a glasspack muffler to the cut off end (no weld), and left the whole works unsupported. It promptly fell off and the car now has an open pipe system terminating under the front seates.

I don't know?

I will remind daughter that he should not reproduce and contaminate the gene pool.
I've told her many times that I would do her repairs for her.
She is 31, and as far as I'm concerned, should only ride the bus.
The car in question was to replace one she had wrecked.
The cut tail pipe may have been for the best.

Thanks for the insight geogonfa !!!
