Did the machine shop bead blast your engine? That is one of the cleanest one's I've ever seen that wasn't painted.

Nice looking car! Body looks to be great shape. :thumb

No, they just washed it. I actually did paint them, but the color is 'cast aluminum' so it looks basically the same anyway. It looked really good from the machine shop, but the flash probably made it look better than it does in person.

May I ask what type of pistons those are, and what the ".050" stampings mean?
That stamping is 0.50 which is half a millimeter or .020'' oversize.

I must be missing something or just failing to see (oldtimers disease). Where are the pictures of the pistons of which you speak?

Don't see them either, only see two photos...no pistons...
@ive...they may have been there B4 and then the thread was edited and they got removed...IDK...

EDIT: it doesn't look like the earlier post with pics have been edited...IDK...must be PFM...
