It's 0220 and I'm smoking a butt

Not a cigarette!

I put a 10 lb pork butt on the smoker 2.5 hours ago.
It won't be ready until about 3 pm - an early Sunday dinner of:
Pulled Pork sammiches
Corn on the Cob
Steak Fries.

We started ours around 0900 hrs yesterday. Had a big birthday bash tonight (last person just left). Pulled pork sandwiches and Beaufort Stew (or Frogmore stew, or Lowcountry boil - I always get them mixed up).

I LOVE smoking meat.....I built a smoker out of an old steel drum a few months back. Smoked a couple pork. butts, ribs and turkey legs but my favorite is home cured and smoked bacon. I get pork bellies from a local farmer......soo good. I'm planning on doing a couple chickens on monday.

The wireless digital thermometer makes it a lot easier to keep an eye on the temp.
