Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself a bit here before getting to the nitty gritty of posting questions, problems, pictures, etc... ^_^

I'm 31 years old family man (3 kids and a wife) and still living in an apartment complex so it's hard to get working on the Geo... I bought the car about 5 or 6 years ago from a guy in Watsonville, CA for $200. The car ran but needed the knuckle bearings, alternator, battery, and a few other mechanical fixer upers... I didn't know at the time but the transmission would take a few seconds to pop into gear... I would step on the gas and it wouldn't go for a few seconds then all of a sudden it would be fine. About two years ago I had two cylinders go out on it and it just wouldn't start up... Swapped the engine from a 1991 Geo into mine and it was all good, still with the same problem of not kicking into gear for a few seconds... We were living in Arizona at the time and about to move back to California... Well two months and now in California the car would move about 1-2 mph no matter how high the revs... This was about a year or so ago... So that's the status of my life with the geo so far... ^_^

Searching around for parts and how to it's hard to miss this forum, so I've been lurking since I joined... Finally got to introduce myself... I remember a Swift forum I was a member of, but never posted or introduced myself... Just joined and never really posted anything... At the time I remember reading about the Dodge Neon center console "mod" which I did but that's about it...

Well just saying hi and hope I enjoy this forum!!!

P.S. Doing a transmission swap out in a parking lot is shaky but stay tuned for that thread in the transmission section... I need to purchase a engine/tranny mount that goes in the firewall first... @_@

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! ^_^

@evmetro - Fluid Level wasn't the problem but the fluid was thick and black when I drained the tranny which probably was the problem... Not this weekend but next weekend I'm going to go to the wreckers and see if I can pull a rear trans/engine mount.

@Mr Murf 59 - I don't have a picture of the mount yet since it was dark already when the mount broke. I'll make sure to post it in the thread I'll be creating in the transmission section of the forum when I get everything ready to install... It looks like DEA Part # A6803 from RockAuto's website 1989 Suzuki 1.3L SOHC...
