for those of you interested in what the new miata's numbers look like: Weight Reduction:220+ lbs (vs. current gen) Weight Distribution:50/50 Length:154.1" Width:68.1" Height:48.62" Wheelbase:91.1" Engine:SKYACTIV-G direct-injection gasoline engine Transmissions:6-spd Manual, 6-spd Automatic Front suspension:Double wishbone Rear suspension:Multilink Steering:Electric Power Assisted Rack & Pinion Steering (EPAS) Brakes (front/rear):Ventilated discs / Solid discs Tires:195/50R16 i would expect a 2 liter engine making around 160ish hp following the miata formula of making a momentum car rather than a power car. rumors have cirulated about a 1.5 turbo and a 2.0 n/a making around 200 being an option, though i wouldn't count on it.

I could really care less about the NC, but the ND is almost kinda nice looking. I'll buy a used one for $5500 when they get there. |

I don't mind the wait. Let me say, I'll buy one for $5500 in 2014 dollars (not sure what that will be in 10 years). I would not mind building a Miata like one of these in the mean time: |
