Been lurking for a while. Just bought my second metro a couple weeks ago. Took me 8 months to find one like it. It's a 1992 3/5 4 door hatch. :bacondance
There's currently 4 metros between my dad and I.

I hear you like pics, so here's my first metro (also a 92).

When I first got it... (sorry first couple aren't the best)

Needs some maintenance caught up and has the typical 2nd gear synchro problem, but otherwise solid running and driving car. It got about 47 mpg driving home 3.5 hours at 70 with and hour of stop and go, crappy alignment/front suspension, and one way too far gone wheel bearing. I think I can live with that. ^o)

I've begun to think that in the interest of protecting an endangered species we need to pass a law that these cars are not allowed East of the Dakotas or Texas. Those that are there already can be granted an exemption (since they are infected already) but no imports allowed and absolutely no exports allowed, lest the tin worm be spread to the rest of the country.

Thanks. I'm hoping to make this one last me through college and then some, if salt doesn't eat it alive.

Yes, but I'm spoiled and my dad welded my first back together for me. I can't weld yet. Maybe next summer.

I second this. The thought of me putting my new one through it's first winter... :'(

Welcome! I used to know one of the finance managers for Preston Hood. He was the brother of a good friend of mine.
