Greetings fellow Metro forumers!
I've been ghosting this forum for the past couple of years, gathering much needed repair ideas and other information. I finally was ready to join the forum, then my little "94 got rear-ended by a jeep.
GGGRRRR, jeep drivers. Anyway, I have a 1994 1.0, 2 door hatchback, there's not much left of the hatch though, with 78,000 miles on it that will be headed for the bone yard. The engine is a strong runner and never had any problems with it, has newer tires with plenty of beef still on them and a 2 month old battery, good 5 speed tranny and axles. Shoot, it still has the original brakes on it. The car is driveable but the hatch is smashed in, there is no lights on the rear of the vehicle, and the hatch and drivers side rear glass is gone. I was the original owner of this fine machine.
Is anyone interested in some parts before she goes to the Metro boneyard in the sky?

I don't suppose the ignition switch on a '94 would work on a '00? Mine got vandalized during an attempted theft. Bad month for Metros huh?

Welcome to your new forum, Sluggo! :coffee

Can you post pictures and get a few dozen opinions before you junk it?

Someone in the Denver area might want it, please give it time.

Bad Bent is right. Please don't rush getting rid of it. Too many of these are going to the junkyard & not being saved. Post some pics. Who knows, it might be able to be saved. :popcorn

Upload them to Photobucket or some other place, then use the image link button in this forum (when posting a reply) to link to the pictures.

Well :ermm:

That is quite the scratch! Um, I'm really not sure what this would be considered. I suppose it could be repaired but it would take a good amount of repair. Such a shame, that's a pretty nice metro too

I like the MG in the background...

So, good opportunity for a Geo truck conversion?

I had the idea of taking off the hatch and making an El Metrocamino.
The wife said " uummm no."
