Coilover kits; Are they better?

Ive had a oem set of springs, Ive cut them and Ive had tanabe nf and df 210 springs for my honda. Both the rear saggs little after a year so the rear tow hook scraps the ground. Ride is not that great, but it does handle better.

I notice the next step up is a coil over kit. Its a shock, spring and an adjustable base plate for the lower spring perch. Most run between 800 to 1200 bucks. The front assemble looks like the strut that is already on there, but the lower perch is height adjustable. The rear also appears to be a strut where as the car has a spring and a shock side by side. Im guessing you remove the stock spring and just use the shock mount as the new suspension spring point.

The shocks have multiple adjustment points.

On one hand I think they will be great for a better ride as you can keep your suspension range where as when you lower it with springs you basically bottom out the shock as it has a set limit for a regular suspension.

Thanks for any feed back. :drivin

Good bye

I would wonder how well the rear shock tower will hold up now that it also has to hold the weight of the car. Lots of race cars use them because of the easy chassis adjustments. I am running stock GT springs on Kyb struts with no snubbers and I am very happy with the ride. 5 years on this setup, the last 40,000 miles with a 4 banger .
