Hey there fellow Geo Lovers!~
Moved from the city to the country and commute went from 15-20 miles to 35-40.
My 97' 2wd 2.7L 4 cylinder 4 Runner actually gets mid to low twenties however I realized I would soon be spending $300-$400/month in gas.
My father in law has driven metros for years and I decided I wanted one.
I looked around for a bit but ended up rushing into a '92 Metro for $850 and a flat screen tv I was no longer using.
Excited to have a community of fellow Geo lovers and planning on getting one for the girlfriend once I get a firm grip on mine!~

If you don't get a firm grip on it, you'll only be seeing it as she gets in to go to work! There's a reason we're such an enthusiastic community, and that's because they are such fun little buggies!!

There's a wealth of knowledge and skill here to tap into to keep yours running for years to come until rust do you part. :D :D

Sorry for the lag been busy as hell.
She was getting like low to mid 30's so i had my mechanic throw in a new Distributor cap, Ignition rotor, PVC valve, Spark plugs, Fuel filter, plug wires, some carb cleaner and sea foam, Air filter, a valve cover gasket, Oil filter, and new oil. The PVC valve was clogged solid and he also retorqued a few of the bolts on the top end. Wishing I had done it myself because I am trying to become more mechanically inclined but driving 80+ miles a day I honestly needed to boost that mpg and get on the road and he is a good friend who needed the work. Getting like low 40's now need to check the tire pressure make sure the tires are of adequate size and maybe a few more things. Got a check engine light code I need to work out but trying to do one thing at a time. All in all I am LOVING this little car and it is so damn spacious I'm 6'3 and can stretch my legs out fully. My buddy just dropped $12k on a tacoma only to have to replace the water pump all the belts get the body lift removed and get new tires! He is jealous of the geo and im currenly watching craigslist for a good deal for him. The pic has some editing (gotta love instagram) and she has a bit of rust on the interior (thing she sat outside for about 3 years after looking at the title history) but can't find any on the under body or the frame so that is a plus. All in all best $800 I've ever spent!~

I had a customer once who was 6'5" and drove a VW Scirocco because it had plenty of leg room. He always requested that I work on his car because I was the only mechanic he'd ever had who returned the seat to the far end of the rails when I was done working on it.
