I'm replacing the entire exhaust on my 1990 Metro 4 door hatchback (standard trany) with the exhaust from my parts car 1992 Metro 2 door hatchback (Standard trany). From what I gathered on this forum the 4 door is 4" longer than the 2 door. So I'm not sure if it will fit without adding length. I laid the exhaust under the existing exhaust and it looks real close, but of course 4" could look real close. Everything lines up for sure until the muffler at the end. Muffler hangers may be a stretch but it's so close, it looks like it might work if I just add an extension to the tailpipe.

Anyway, my question is if anyone has swapped exhaust from a 2 door to 4 door, or have any knowledge of weather it would work, or will 4" need to be added?

This is my daily driver and I just don't want to have the old exhaust off and not be able to get the "new" one to fit, then I would be stuck driving my guzzling Dodge V10 until I have time to solve the problem.

i haven't swapped exhaust on 2-4 doors but your best bet would be putting it on maybe using jack or two just too hold it up and see if it will stick out the rear or not 4" is minor if u gotta add a piece at the end or not
