hey everybody ive been a member for awhile now but don't think ive ever posted. I live in red lion pa which is by York pa and ive seen a guy running around here in a turbo mk2 metro and was wondering if it was anyone here? anyway mor about why im here. ive been a festiva guy for years but ive gotten kinda tired of them reciently after blowing like 3 up now 2 were motor swapped and 1 stock. I love little hatches and great gas milage with cars that are nimble and fun to drive. lil cars react well to little mods because if you can add 10hp to one of these cars you can really notice it compaired to like a Honda, 10 hp extra on a Honda is bearly noticeable. my first swap on a festiva was a b3 to a b6 which is literally the motor with .3l more displacement and 20 more hp and made such a huge difference so it went from 60 hp to 80.... most people would laugh at that but line up beside me and laugh no more the next was the bp swap with 127 hp and it is stupid fast but just blew the trans prob gonna put my extra trans in and sell it. I own a business that does different kind of graphics like wraps and stuff and have to travel 5+ hours sometimes and want something fun to drive, reliable, easy to mod... but get 50mpg and so far the metro is winning the battle. so im on the lookout for a cheaper 3cyl manual hatch now. I say cheap not because I want junk but sometimes cars are cheaper because of cosmetic stuff on the outside but I don't care about that because I plan on wrapping it for my co. I would love to eventually have a fleet of little cool unique cars to make a fleet for the company. like another festiva eventually, a Omni glh eventually, lowered ol school minivan for bigger jobs that I need to bring a scaffolding or multiple ladders and planks but for the most part I just need my work bucket and a tool bag with my tools to go on site and do the installs. I drive a lot for all this is the point im trying to make :D. sorry I know that's a long story but just wanted to say hi and the purpose I want a metro for. any help in either buying one or what to look for when buying one would be great. and if the guy with the boosted metro is on here hit me up because id like to talk to you and check out your ride. also wanted to ask if this turbo kit is legit http://www.jeffsgeometro.com/turbo-geosuzuki.html -thanks, Bobby D |

Welcome ![]() If you decide to buy a Metro, just watch out for rust where the front control arms attach. I imagine they use a fair bit of road salt in PA, and the control arm mounts are usually the first thing to rust out. |

I added 20 hp by adding .3 liter displacement. My car is a kick to drive now. The main thing to watch out for is front frame horn rust on these cars. Just about everything else is easy and bolt on fun. |

I would only suggest that if you were a good welder. There is a member on here called PA.metro, fixer, frames, ect who does really good work fixing rusted metros. http://geometroforum.com/profile/520482/ I'm actually not far from Christiansburg/Blacksburg...around 2.5 hours west in Buchanan county. My fiancé actually goes to Radford University which is 5 minutes or so from Christiansbug/Blacksburg, so I go though there every week or so. Edited by nathan298, Oct 12 2014, 09:56 PM.
