Hey everyone, especially those that are around my western Washington area!

I'm currently driving my second Geo, '94 5 spd, 1.0 ltr, 2dr Metro, dubbed "the Black Bomber", been driving it for about 4 years. 207,000 miles on it currently.

I finally have some extra money and I've been wanting to trick out my 94 Black Bomber. I've been debating on either trying to rebuild my spare 1.0engine and tranny out of my first Geo, or possibly finding someone that's close that is a pro to do the whole engine and transmission project for me, which I think is the route I'd rather go.

I'll be lurking around, trying to get better read on what I need, as far as the performance, added hp and mpg parts I'll need, but if someone here can point me to the direction of a person who does rebuilds, that would be great.

Thanks all!

Don't be a "Richard"

Welcome to the party :thumb

As for the engine rebuild:

2 Words!!

Geo Glenn!!

PM Him.
Talk about what you need with him.
Swallow twice when you see the price. :evillol
Write the check.
Install the engine.
Drive happy knowing you have just purchased a fine tuned piece of machinery!!

I spent more money on one of his motors than I did on all 4 of my Metro's combined, and it was the best money I have spent to date by far.

Thank you MrBill.

Thanks for that tidbit of knowledge DCGUY. From the little bit I've seen of this forum, I've seen multiple posts about Glenn being the guy to talk to, so I just may end up tossing him a pm. Sometimes you're better off leaving it to a professional.

Hey OldMan, or should I call you neighbor? :thumb I did see that post already. Maybe if I would have found out about this forum sooner, I could have planned for it. I'm afraid it would be a little too short of a notice for my fiance to be hearing about it now haha. And you also recommend this GeoGlenn guy..... I will definitely pm him.
Oh and also to OldMan, "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." I have a feeling you'd like that quote from Albert Einstein. ;)

+1 If you want that 207k to turn into 414k miles or more Glenn is the guy to talk to! I couldn't be happier with his work on my motor! :cheers
