I found this while browsing craigslist. 1994, does not pass smog, rust free, runs like shit, cheap. Anyway, it was cheap enough for me to go get it.

It came with some folding electric mirrors laying in the hatch

It's got some neat little thingies onto it. Power folding mirrors, swift gt wheel, split rear seats, gt front seats, a hatch cover, a wing and a rear wiper! Not bad :thumb

Was the PO a member? He must have at least read the forum considering the upgrades it has

The PO was not a member. Somebody in his family gave it to him a few years ago. It does look like it was once owned by a fellow metro junkie though. The kid who sold it to me knew that there were "parts from a dodge swift" that were added by whoever it was who cared about it.

This 94 completes a sequence. I already have model years 95 through 2000, plus a 93. I did not buy the 94 for that reason, I just watch craigslist for the deals and the 94 came up.

I just figured out that this rig has this set up as well. Cool.

I just nosed this rig into the shop so I can see why it runs like shit. Naturally, the first thing we do around here is to go right for the compression test before anything else. So, I have had my OTC compression tester for years, but today I have a bouncing needle, and it fades back to 30 psi as soon as I stop cranking. Out of business on this one for today. The next tool truck does not come till Tuesday, so this Metro is going back to bed for a few more days.

Do you know what brand they are? I have no idea if these are $50 each Chinese wheels, or if they are of some value...

Another project to follow!

Going to be in Sacramento this Thursday, may have to look you up! GF is going to a Jody Picoult book signing or something, I may go by a PnP and scavenge.

I just noticed another cool upgrade that was done to this metro. Those don't look like the standard rear brake drums...
