Hiya, and hello from the uk
just wanted to say what a great site this is, friendly, helpful, (possibly a bit crazy...!!) :D
got my 2000 1.3 about a year ago, great little car, do most of my own work on it, ticks all the boxes,
my wife has a ford convertible that cost about 6 times as much that is rotting on the drive because she prefers to drive mine...!!!
love the U.S.A, been twice, cant wait to go again,
anyway you guys take care, keep up the good work, and good posts.
all the best from the uk.
Ian.

That thing is pretty neat, I love how they kept the 92-94 body style up until 2001 in the UK instead of the ones we got. I also like the designs on the upholstery, very cool :thumb

Thanks, glad you like it, it was a bargain too, great condition, just 74k miles, one elderly owner most of its life, well looked after, about $700, these models seem quite cheap over here, up till 03 when the new model shape came out, then they get more expensive.

That is frick'n sweet! Would love to have a right hand drive GEO. I had a old mail carrier jeep that was right hand,it was pretty cool driving on the highway here in Colorado. Keep the pics coming and welcome to the Geo Madness!

Welcome to the forum. You should check out the gatherings section. Come on over to the Geo Palooza next year. We had 58 cars from all over.

Welcome! I agree that the Non-US market touches are great. The upholstery, the blue gauges, blue dash insert, bumpers, fascia, spoiler etc are all pretty cool.

Thanks for the comments guys,
i didnt realise there were so many differences to the usa market, these cars are really suited to the uk due to narrow streets, lack of parking spaces, expensive fuel etc..
as for coming to a gathering... sounds great, i'll have to start planning to come over to one soon..
gonna do a rad flush and coolant change tomorrow... ready for winter...

Welcome! Where in the UK are you from? I spent some time in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

What four cylinder do you have in that thing? Is it the SOHC 16 valve?

Hiya woodie, i,m in swadlincote, south derbyshire, not far from chesterfield, about an hour north of birmingham,
i think its only a 8 valve, never needed the rocker cover off yet..! i think the gti version had 16 valves,
this is my first geo/swift, its a nippy little thing for such a small, economical car,
