So, 2nd set of speakers and 2nd head unit, sound sucks. The adjustment makes it move around funny, no sound from passenger rear and when volume is turned up the front passenger cuts out.

So, got another set of speakers for front and rear and a new HU. Decided Im running new speaker wires to all 4 and cut the 2 4 lead harnesses from inside the dash. :shake

Id just put a new HU in my honda and thought I had researched and found radio color codes are pretty much universal across all vehicles. :coffee I went online and checked colors as the colors did not match up. :hmm I then skinned the wires and went back to the car and used a speaker and tried moving the balance and fade to unsure I had sound focused to the correct speaker. :banghead

Turns out 1 4 pin harness is suppose to be for rear speakers 1 for front. The vehicle however is wired up one harness is front passenger, rear driver. Then the other harness is front driver to a black and blue wire. :hmm There is no black or blue wire for speakers.

So, been making multiple trips to the car and bench to ensure I wire the harness and new speaker leads up right for location and polarity.

Aint that some :shit ? ^o)

Been there. Ain't no fun.

I guess my question is where did this happen? You think it happened in Japan or in America at the dealer? Supposedly this was a demo vehicle with all the bells and whistles driven by a salesman with 3 thousand miles on it. Since it was owned in my family and til I got it the oem radio was never replaced. I can see the alarm was an after thought as its installation, wires routed, etc is not the same as the other harnesses, but I found a suzuki alarm manual.

So far everything but the AWL aka ABS works. Guess I need to see what the other 2 wire colors are used for to further trouble shoot this. Got some kicker 6 inches for the rear, alpine 4 inchers for the front with same response and sensitivity not to mention ohms. :rocker
