4 x 6 speakers install in parcel tray brackets; A lot of time on something that will never be seen!

I took some advice on here and got the Pyle Blue series speakers, 4" for the dash and hatch and 4" x6" to go in the parcel tray brackets. After spending all morning working on it I believe they're going to work.

First, the plastic reinforcement ribs in the brackets had to be trimmed down to make room for the three way speakers

Then I had to make some brackets to mount the speakers to because they weren't long enough to mount to the holes that are in the parcel tray brackets

The edges of the speakers had to be trimmed way back, and in the end I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Fantastic work! :thumb
It looks very clean. ^o)

I prefer speaker installations that don't modify the factory grilles; love that stealth. B-)

Nice job! I went with 4" units in the package tray brackets, on advice of better sound over oval speakers. Either one will not produce hugely though.

And I really like the way the double din Kenwood looks in there!

This I like! I'm big on everything I do to my cars looking factory. I don't like anything that doesn't look like it was made to go on the car originally.

AUX port for the stereo, I'm sure.

Yes, it's auxiliary in for my phone or iPad. I've never been fond of using the ipod controls on the radio, I'd rather use the ipod in my hand, with controls I'm familiar with from car to car.
